The entrance exam includes English, Math, and an interview, all conducted in English. 英語、算数、面接を実施します。全て英語で行います。

GFIS currently does not have a school uniform. However, students wear a school T-shirt for off-campus activities. 現在GFISに制服はありません。校外学習の際にはスクールTシャツを着用しています。

Bento boxes are available for order at a cost of ¥9,000 per month for those who wish. Students may bring their own lunch. 希望者にはお弁当を注文しています（月9000円）。お弁当の持参も可能です。

Currently, we do not offer a school bus service.現在はスクールバスは運行しておりません。

Is there an after-school program? アフタースクールプログラムはありますか？

Currently, we offer after-school care for students Grade 3 and older until 6:15 PM. We also plan to expand our extracurricular classes in the future. 現在は小学3年生から6年生に8:15まで放課後預かりを実施しています。今後課外クラスを充実させていく予定です。

How are classes organized by grade level? 学年別のクラスはどのように分かれていますか？

Classes are generally organized into groups of Grades 1–2, Grades 3–4, and Grades 5–6. Class placement also considers each student’s learning progress. Older students deepen their understanding by helping younger peers, while younger students benefit from observing and learning beyond their current grade level, fostering growth and development. 1・2年、3・4年、5・6年のクラスが基本になります。各生徒の学習進度もみながらクラス編成を行っています。上の学年は下の学年を助ける事で、理解がより深く定着し、下の学年は上の学年を見て、その学年の内容にとどまらない伸びしろのある学びを実践することができます。

How much is the tuition fee? Are there any sibling discounts?　学費はいくらですか？兄弟割引はありますか？

The tuition fee, including additional expenses, is ¥85,000 per month. Sibling discounts are available: 15% off for the second child and 20% off for the third child. What is the teacher-to-student ratio? 先生と生徒の人数比はどれくらいですか？

Each class has a maximum of 16 students with 2 teachers. (In the 2025 academic year, the ratio is 7 students per teacher.) 1クラス定員16名に対して、教師2名体制を実施しています。（2025年度は生徒7：教師１）

Can you tell me about the teachers? 先生はどんな方々ですか？

Core subjects are taught by native English speakers who hold teaching qualifications in their home countries. Each teacher has over 10 years of teaching experience. Additionally, all core subject teachers have undergone International Baccalaureate (IB) training. 母国で教師資格を持つ英語ネイティブスピーカーがコア科目を担当しています。それぞれ指導歴は10年以上です。コア科目教師は国際バカロレア（IB）の研修を受けています。

Is there homework? Will parental support be necessary? 宿題はありますか？親のサポートは必要ですか？

Accepted Answer

We highly encourage parental support to help students develop independence in their home learning. For students requiring ESL assistance, additional support in English may be recommended. 生徒が家庭学習を自律してできるよう、ご家庭のサポートをお願いしています。ESL支援の必要な生徒には、英語のサポートをお願いする場合がございます。
